Dr. Mike McNett

Mike McNett is an MD, who has built a clinic in Chicago offering a unique approach to the treatment of fibromyalgia. Like all innovators, he has run into some resistence from the more institutionalized providers. However, Mike has persisted in adapting his approach because he has the courage to stand by his convictions. Early on, Mike struggled with his partners and after a long, difficult decision making process, he ended his professional relationship with those partners, and at that point, the business really took on Mike's professional personality. Mike was willing to make a great deal of personal and financial sacrifice in order to see his vision become reality. That strength of character deserves to be acknowledged and honored. Although Mike is not retired in the usual sense of the word, his courage is a huge example to me of perserverance, a quality I admire greatly. |
