Bob Gallagher's Path to Spirit

I have been friends with Bob for going on 20 years now, and for about 14 of those years, we were involved in a men's groups exploring archetypes and shadow and family of origin issues and breathwork and generally struggling to teach ourselves how to be powerful and peaceful. I have watched Bob go through a divorce and a 2nd marriage and some serious changes in his career, and I have seen him take on responsibility for a men's group in Bloomington, Il. and create beautiful music and build a wonderful playhouse for his daughters, and work at Head Start, and go for a MSW degree. Throughout every one of those challenges, Bob has continued to offer support and encouragement to those of us lucky enough to be his friends. He has become a regular staff member of the Path to Spirit workshops. Bob has created an invention and hopefully has a patent now, and has built a website marketing his layout for his home music studio. He has struggled to rebuild a relationship with a father who seems incapable of responding. We who know him are blessed to have him as a friend. Is he a man of courage? When the Steelers are in the Super Bowl, he invites Bears and Packers fans to share in his Steeler joy. That is courage, or maybe fool hardy. Join me in celebrating a life lived triumphantly. |
